On Thursday the 24th we had 29 of us having a wonderful lunch, drinks and a few of us even a piece of cake as well.

As always, great food at The Grange at a good price!

January 2022 Happy New Year

2022 started of with more masks, more jabs, more QR's and not enough RATS!

(those little overpriced sticks you play with up your nose and mouth; of course free for us)

Besides those minor things our Probus club still had 22 eager members meet in January in the Community Hall.

The following week down at The Grange we had about 12 attend, hopefully more next time.

------------------------------

In memory of Marja I. we had a minute silence at our January meeting.
Marja sadly passed away in August in the midst of covid lockdown;
she had been a club member for many years, was part of the committee for a number of years and was a Pink Lady at Gosford private hospital.
Marja will be sadly missed by all of us and of course her husband Tim.

Rest in Peace Marja

------------------------------

Before covid hit us with more lockdowns we had 2 new members visit us last April,
Ron and Beverly I.

Finally this month they were able to become Members of our club.

We also had 2 OBE's, one for Jeanette A. and another for Ron I.

  Jeanette A. receiving her OBE

 Ron I. receiving his OBE

Congratulations to you both!

On Thursday 27th January 21 Members had lunch in the renovated Hotel Gosford, all modern, new look and stylish and uplifting for Gosford.

It has been there longer than any of us (1926) and if only we could have a facelift or body transformation like the Hotel Gosford.

We took up 2 rows of tables, maybe too many or some didn't like each other?

Look at those "old" lovers, Lyn and Barry.

We all know these 2,
Joan and John

They loved those drinks
Derek and Jeanette

Ron and Ambassador Don surprsingly empty handed, very unusual for Don

A bit of the old and new of the Hotel Gosford

Hopefully, very hopefully February will see an improvement in Covid numbers and our next meeting will be on Thursday 10th February in Narara. Just bring those Masks.

Hope to see you all there!
