We had previously had Nicky Mann from Roses 2 Go as a guest speaker and her story touched us all and made us want to visit the family rose growing farm.
They had fled Zimbabwe and left behind their very sucessful rose growing business, setting up again on the Central Coast when they fell in love with this area.
A very hard working family who are now proud to be called "Aussies"who have become rose breeders all over again....We really wish them every success....
About 40 of us arrived at the farm in glorious Spring sunshine, Mick had ordered good weather for this special outing ....and he got it..!
Morning tea and a little talk on the background of the farm were all part of the small fee charged . Lovely morning tea and then a tour of the sheds where the roses are grown hydroponically...
WOW is the only word when you see the hundreds of beautiful roses they grow on this farm.
They use only natural pest control and their roses are just beautiful.
Nicky was our tour guide and a great job she did in educating us on how they grow such beautiful roses at their farm.
