Good Citizen Awards on Nov 8th.
It was again a very successful and happy morning.
Students from three schools their teachers and their families made 45 visitors.
We had lovely presentation followed by a nice Morning tea
provided by Ros and the ladies who make such lovely sandwiches, cakes and slices.
Our guest of honour was Gary Blackler from Probus
South Pacific who was very impressed by our awards.
These students who are nominated by their various schools never fail to amaze us with the incredible good citizenship they show.
Sometimes can't help but wonder when they have time for school work.!
Photo's below show the awards given and recieved.
We were also given a sneak preview of an up and coming
African Drumming group from Point Clare Primary who came along and played a couple of numbers for us.
They were loud and proud .....( no need for hearing aids) but very enjoyable to watch as they drummed their little hearts and hands out ....
Well done again ,to the committee and to Lionel Gordon and Dave Tapner. who always do such a great job on the shields and the certificates .
Well done, also to the presenters the students and those who work behind the scenes to make this Awards morning such a success.....
There is a lot of behind the scenes work that has to happen each year to make this awards morning happen and I feel sure that those Probians who started these awards 29 years ago will be "smiling" and saying a big "Thank You."
