"Picnic in the Park"

After 4 months of Lockdown we were finally able to meet up again at Gosford's Lions Park for our Picnic in the Park.

Not without a hitch or two, last week we had to cancel due to the rain and this Thursday the weather was great, 27 turned up, great company but today the 3 electric BBQ's didn't work! ggggrrrr..

Some quick thinking by Jan Blanch who walked over to the Gosford Pools next door, she discussed our problem and soon after our clubs volunteer cooks Don and Keith were able to use the pools 2 bbq's at a small cost and cook our lovely sausages and onions.

Of course lots had to be discussed between members after so many months apart.

Unfortunately but not unexpected the Council could not solve the bbq's electrical problem, after several phone calls and even return calls we were told that the "only electrician was up on a cherrypicker fixing some lights".

The desserted BBQ's

Surprise surprise they only had my name and number but I ended up receiving an email later stating they would 'endeavour to respond to my inquiry within 5 working days'. Sorry just want the bbq's fixed today, NOW!   That's Life...Say no more....

"SMILE"

After all these months we all had a great time catching up once again.

Due to the Community Hall not opening until January 2022 we wont have a December meeting.
We will have our Christmas lunch instead on the 9th of December.
