Trip to MULLA VILLA 23 rd August 2018

MULLA VILLA

President DON looking a bit overdressed at the  Wollombi Winery. !!!!

On Thursday 23rd August our PROBUS club had a lovely day trip to Mulla Villa Homestead.
Connect Coaches had a breakdown of their large bus so Liam Greene booked us  a red bus coach and driver to take us on our trip,  Liam and his wife were  our host and hostess .
The weather was great our bus was comfortable and all in all a lovely day was had.
We left  West Gosford at 8-30am and headed off .

Our 1st stop was morning tea at Mangrove  Creek Dam ,  Liam warned us that the trivia which was to follow would have some questions regarding the dam so after a beaut morning tea provided by Liam and his lovely wife (who made the yummy slices and cakes that we were treated to),  we all read up on the dam and its history etc  so we would know all the answers and win the  Chocolate FREDDO FROG prizes.
No one got the whole 10 questions right but some of us got 6 and 5 and were rewarded with a Chocolate frog for being so clever...

Some of the ladies  were enjoying the tea, coffee and  slices provided by the Hostess

Did Ros finally snap and clobber him or what happened . ????

We carried on to our next stop WOLLOMBI Wines Vinyard, where the owners Peter and Alyson Hoft were waiting for us with a lovely selection of their wines for us to sample.
Many of our group purchased some of these lovely wines, (just for medicinal purposes we were told).

I drink champagne when I’m happy
And when I’m sad.
Sometimes I drink it when I’m alone.
When I have company, I consider it obligatory.
I trifle with it if I’m not hungry
And drink it when I am.
Otherwise, I never touch it – unless I’m thirsty.
