Probus Club Good Citizenship awards 2015

Our 31st Good Citizenship awards were again a great success, with 6 school students receiving awards.

We believe we are the only club in NSW who conduct a Good Citizenship Award every year.   We are very proud of that....
Several visitors from Probus head office have been our guests at these awards over the years as has our local Mayor and all were very impressed with the idea of these awards, severla clubs are trying to organise to do the same.....

As is usual the 3 schools represented  were Point Clare Primary who selected  students  Emily Barnes and Joel Dickey as  their choice of good Citizenship students  this year.
Glendale Schools,  Jade McMahon and Daniel Cowdrey were their Schools choice to get the award this year.
Henry Kendall High .... school teachers chose Jessica Davies and Owen Butterworth as their winners this year.
                 CONGRATULATIONS  to you all.
They were presented to our President Alan Gibbs by their club presenters. Teachers /pricipal or deputy Principal were present from their respective schools to recieve their updated School shields.

Each student was given a framed Certificate a lovely wall plaque and a copy of the certificate to place in their CV ( we have heard from past recipients that prospective employers were  always very impressed by this award in their CV)..... Their names are also added to the school shields (which were donated by our club members  to the schools 31 yrs ago  and are  updated and ongoing)  is proudly displayed at the various schools mentioned.

Some very proud parents and families were present at the award ceremony along with the school reps.
Our Probus club put on a lovely morning tea for all and again a lovely morning was had by all.
Our hearty CONGRATULATIONS go to the 6 students ,
Emilie, Joel, Jessica, Owen, Jade and Daniel.
Your good deeds have been rewarded now  and you have made many people very proud to know you.

I must make mention that Emilie's sister Claudia was the  proud recipient of this award last year and so the Barnes family now have not one but two good citizens in the family.
They are very proud of both of their girls as well they should be....
WELL DONE EVERYONE.............
