Sorry there was no Blog published in JANUARY
I hope 2021 will be a
safe and happy year for you all .
We managed to survive 2020 with its problems so hopefully we will get through 2021.
Our PROBUS year started well on Jan 11th with a training session on Defibrilators by Paramedic Carpet Hughes.
Hopefully we all learned where the defibrilator is kept , and when and how to use one....

At our Feb meeting we had a Guest speaker who was a local podiatrist Andrew Martin from East Gosford Podiatry .
He was very interesting and full of good advise

We then enjoyed our lovely Morning tea and enjoyed some fellowship with the members before the meeting continued .

VALE two of our Probus friends ,
Past member Keith Thompson= Burke
(formally ) Thompson -Baggs
Keith was a member for 20 years along with his wife Glen,
they both left the club due to health issues .
Glen passed away in 2013 , Keith in 2021
His funeral was held on 12th Feb and ,
Our club was represented at his funeral
by Jan Blanch ( Welfare Officer) *****************************************
We also found out that one of our life members
DAVID TAPNER had passed away .
David had been a past editor of our Gazette
and left our meetings a few years ago, due to moving into 24 hour care and ill health.

We are losing some good people.
Thankfully we are gaining some good people too .

HOT OFF THE PRESS
OUR 40 years of Probus West Gosford BOOK is now complete and has been given out to members and welcomed with open arms .. WELL DONE to Don and Carolin it looks great. !!!!
Thank you both for driving round and delivering it to members who are house bound at the moment. Your work and the help you got from other members has turned into a great 40 yr Book We are very lucky to have such skilled members in our club ... I have heard on the grapevine that PROBUS SOUTH PACIFIC are very impressed with the book and want photos .... THANK YOU SO MUCH Don and Carolin for all your researching, reaching out to past Presidents etc and finally publishing this book, WELL DONE !!!!

Our coffee and chat mornings at The Grange Hotel are still well supported and enjoyed. The coffee/tea is lovely as are the cakes etc. The parking is easy and I recommend it to you ....

Next meeting 11th March will be our AGM / Change over meeting where you will meet some new committee members .
There will be NO guest speaker on this day ....
