DECEMBER 2020 OUR CHRISTMAS MEETING

Today was our Christmas meeting and a lovely Morning tea was organised by the committee .
Today instead of being OUT for Christmas lunch somewhere ....We had  a Christmas theme meeting  (MORNING TEA)and members were asked to come  dressed in Christmas mode.

MANY Members  Think it was more fun than going out somewhere  anyway.

A prize was given to the person or persons who the committee judged to be the best dressed  in Christmas Theme .

                          PHOTOS are BELOW

Everyone participated and came in their best Christmas gear.

We had some good laughs at some outfits  and really enjoyed the  Morning .  Some really excelled at this .

We even had SANTA and his wife in attendance .

All of a sudden a lady in Christmas mode appeared in a wheelchair . It was our local member Leisle Tesch . She thought she was our guest speaker today but was relieved to find that a mistake had been made and she wasn't due to be our GUEST speaker until April  .

She stopped and had a cuppa with us and wished everyone a happy Christmas just the same.

THANK YOU LEISLE . See you in April ,

Our morning tea was a special  Christmas themed  M/Tea and just lovely....

Thank you  especially To the catering team ....

Thank you everyone for your team work on this .

Covid  might have changed things ,

but it didn't stop the team  from working ....

NOVEMBER Meeting : OUR 1st UNMASKED Meeting ....

We arrived for our  Nov. meeting fully masked up but when the Air Conditioner was not working we were advised that we did not need masks .
We still had all other Covid rules in place but Masks were not needed .  We had no guest speaker today , because we normally have our Good Citizenship awards  and NO guest speaker,   however two of our members stepped up  to fill the spot and
Ros T told us the  story of her working life.
Alan G  Told us about his Life story .
A HUGE THANK YOU to both of these members for filling in for a guest speaker....
John S gave us our Normal Trivia questions .

We also had  our beautiful Covid safe morning tea  via the meeting room especially served to us  by members using tongs .
A lovely meeting was STILL  enjoyed by all.
By the way, we still presented the Good Citizenship awards to the various students and delivered them to each school to be given out at their awards ceremony .
We are assured that photo's etc will be forth coming from these awards  at a later date ....
This is the first time in 38 years that our "SPECIAL " Good Citizenship  awards were not given out ,
But thats COVID for you ,  it has changed everything ...
