Happy Birthday to Probus Club of Gosford West

On Thursday the 11th August we celebrated our 37th birthday. 
We had a Ukulele group  "The Rumbelara Rebels" to play  for us. 
They encouraged us to sing along with them. 
Some did, some didn't. .....................
 We had a lovely birthday cake purchased for us by Ros and because it was about to be Mel's 90th birthday we gave him the honour of cutting the cake and blowing our candle out.
A nice birthday meeting with lovely morning tea/ light lunch was enjoyed by us all.
The Ukulele group joined us for Morning tea....

SOME SAD NEWS.......

COL PICKUP

 On 30/7/16  Col Pickup left for greener pastures , 

we were all very  saddened to hear the news of his passing.

Colin had been battling some health issues for a few years.

 On Monday 8th August  some of his  Probus friends   joined his family and friends at Palmdale to say our goodbye's.

Colin was a life member of our club and he was well respected by all who had the pleasure of knowing him and will be very missed by us.

On 11th August we recieved the news that our very loved member Wendy Dicker  had  also gone to greener pastures.

Wendy had a sudden illness 10 days before  and never recovered from it.

We will all SO miss that lovely happy smiling face of Wendy.

On 17/8/16 a group of her Probus friends joined her  family and friends to say our farewell's to her.

Wendy will be very missed as she was loved by all who knew her....
