PROBUS CLUB of Gosford West Christmas lunch



                                      HAPPY CHRISTMAS  To OUR MEMBERS





 12th of Dec was the PROBUS club Christmas lunch and I think a good time was had by all who attended.
Some of our members were unable to attend due to medical apointments that couldn't be changed or because they were not well...


               
Some of the empty badges,
members who were not able to join us for our Christmas Party.
.We missed you and wish you a happy Christmas, speedy recovery etc....
We really do  miss the members who are not able to attend , please know that we are thinking of you.
Thank you to our members for providing all the goodies that made up our Christmas hamper  lucky door Prize's this year . Thank you to FRED and Phylis for the way you sorted and presented the prize hampers....They looked really beautiful....


                                     






Those who were in attendance today were well fed and watered by our wonderful caterer Heather , her food is always just beautiful.
We wish Heather and her Husband well in their retirement and caravan trip......
We will miss you and your beautiful catering Heather........









The tables were looking so beautiful in no time once those who helped  set the room up were finished with them it was
"Beginning to look a lot like CHRISTMAS .........

WE HAD A LOVELY MEETING TODAY FOR OUR "GOOD CITZENSHIP AWARDS.
SIX STUDENTS FROM THREE SCHOOLS WERE PRESENTED FOR THEIR AWARDS.
MANY PARENTS,  SIBLINGS, GRANDPARENTS, GOD PARENTS AND FRIENDS WERE IN ATTENDANCE TO SEE THE STUDENTS RECEIVE THEIR AWARDS.
OUR SPECIAL GUEST WAS THE MAYOR OF GOSFORD MR LAURIE McKINNA.

All students,  families  teachers all spoke of how special these awards are.....

A fantastic group of students who's Good Citizenship stories  we all  found so uplifting to hear.

The mayor of Gosford Mr Laurie McKinna (who really enjoyed the awards), presented the school shields back to the School reprentatives which included Dep. Principal, School Councillors and School Principal .
They all thanked our club for these very special awards and told us how proud they are of these students and their Good Citizenship..

 It does the heart good to know that the world will be in safe hands  with young people like those prented today looking after it....

We had a good roll up of members and had over 50 guests who all enjoyed the morning with us..
A lovely morning tea supplied by Ros and  some of the ladies followed and all in all a lovely morning was enjoyed by all .
Happy Birthday wishes this month  go to  Jeanette Aaso, Joyce Crawford and Maja Ioannou.....

                                    Well done everyone involved,  this was  a really good meeting...
