the hair was a bit worse for wear but safe and sound

Some Christmas decorations on board.

On Thursday 22nd Nov.   a very brave group of us gathered at the
Anaconda / Office Works / Spotlight car park to take a trip with Connect Coaches To have a trip and lunch on the Nepean Belle Paddle Wheel boat.
OUR LOVELY COMFORTABLE CONNECT COACH

THE NAPEAN  BELLE

A say BRAVE because we copped all kinds of weather.
 Rain....Wind.... and  Dust Storm.
Liam is a wonderful driver and we had no problems but the weather wasn't too nice  for him to drive in .
We stopped for a lovely morning tea provided by Connect Coaches with  plenty of tea, coffee and beautiful slices etc cooked by Liam's lovely wife who was our hostess.
They both looked after us really well.
We arrived safely and stood waiting for the Nepean Belle to arrive...

And here she comes  looking beautiful.
Notice the red boarding ramp was all ready,
but got smashed a bit when they came in to pick us up.
As I said the wind was bad and when The Belle  tried to dock to let us on board the wind caught her and crashed her into the Boarding ramp they were trying to set up for us..
We were lucky this happened before any of us set foot on it because it broke badly and could not be used...

The crashed ramp

THE RAMP UNABLE TO BE FIXED
.
Oh well, we just had to wait until they could sort out what to do, it had the captain and crew all scratching their heads a bit.
Finally, they were able to send a crew member on a road trip to pick up another boarding ramp from their base....
The lovely Nepean Belle was worth the wait and the food offered for our lunch was FANTASTIC .
We all enjoyed the trip and our lunch.
The captain wasn't able to navigate his way up the river through the NARROWS because of the high wind but he did an impressive three point turn and took us in the opposite direction.
Not many noticed though because they were too busy enjoying the beautiful lunch ...
It was a nice day out and we all enjoyed it regardless of the weather giving us a hard time.
 *********************************************
Thanks, Alan for organising this lovely outing.
even with weather from every season ......
                               We still enjoyed.
