Lunch together at Kincumber and future outings to think about....

  On Thursday 28th June our Probus Club had a lunch outing to 
The Kincumber Hotel where those who attended enjoyed a lovely lunch in the Hotel Bistro ... 
 An extensive menu was available, plus a blackboard special menu.  Drinks were at Bar prices ,
(plus craft beer was available in the Hairy Goat Bar)....
 If you were there we hope you enjoyed your lunch, 
if you were not able to be there, we missed you....

                                   OUR JULY  lunch Outing 
Will be  to the Breakers Country Club  at Wamberal  26th July 
                                        12 noon start. 
This will be upstairs  where you choose and pay for your own meal  This lunch outing  is in place of our regular Christmas in July get together. 
                                         August Outing is  
A day trip by comfortable  Connect Coach  to "Mulla Villa" a convict built 1840s homestead located on 75 acres  in the Wollombi area . 
Your coach trip, morning Tea, a 2 course lunch and a wine tasting at Wollombi  are all inclusive in the cost of this trip . 
                          Cost  $80.00 P/Person .........

                 It is a full day , 7am start 5 pm return . 
                            Some info  about the trip is below 
                                          Mulla Villa, 
A  convict built 1840's homestead located on 75 acres. 
We will be taken on a guided tour of the original homestead of the first Magistrate of Wollombi, convict cells and the original sandstone of the Great North Road where the horse drawn tracks are still to be seen. 
Lunch will be provided by the venue & will be enjoyed in the oldest section of Mulla Villa which dates back to the 1830's and built prior to the main homestead. 
Our final stop for the day will be Wollombi Wines & Wollombi Vineyard where they produce a range of good wines. 
This tour is suitable for all ages with some walking involved.

 Today we welcomed two new members into our club Patrick and Maria  Ross were inducted into our ranks by President Don.

 Our guest speaker today was going to be Mick Ryan who was going to give us a reminder talk on fire safety. 

Unfortunately This talk had to be cancelled,  too late to organise another speaker ,  SO  and in its place we had a little talk from our member Alan about his years as a submariner.

 Its great when a member will step up at the last minute,  and his talk was really interesting, 

 he used some humour and at times it was serious.... 

Well Done Alan, we always enjoy your little talks.

Then our President Don interviewed a couple of our members so that we could learn a little more about them. 

He interviewed Elaine who told us about her years helping out with the historical society and especially Henry Kendall Cottage . 

It's history and beginnings were very interesting.

            President Don then interviewed  Jan Blanch, 
Jan is a very lovely lady who spent over 50 years nursing and has some great stories to tell about her nursing days and her years spent tripping around to other parts of the world nursing ,

 10am  at Narara Community Centre  where our guest speaker will be another one of our members Ron Arnott.
Ron  is a very musical man and a member of  a  brass band  in Gosford, he will be telling us about
