It is now LOCKDOWN time, we are no longer able to have our monthly meetings and many of us are in isolation.
Please try to keep in touch with members through your phone or emails.
Many of our members live alone and would appreciate a phone call or an email to keep in touch so please try to do that.
You should all have an updated list of members phone numbers and email addresses so please use them to stay in touch .... I hope you are OK
Keep safe and keep well until we meet again....
Please remember Trevor F. is in North Gosford Hospital, not travelling too well, so keep Trevor in your thoughts and prayers....

24 of us had a nice bus trip to Borowra Waters Restaurant
for our last outing before the big LOCKDOWN The drive there, the meal and the
entertainment were all very enjoyable .
The lady entertainer was actually from Bateau Bay, a local lady and she entertained us with IRISH songs and JOKES etc
BY THE WAY did you hear the one about Father Muldoon.
The Father is in the local pub and asking some of the locals a question.
He went up to Sean and said
"Do you want to go to heaven Sean "
Sean said "Yes I do Father" .........
Father Muldoon said "good man stand over there" and pointed to a spot.
He then asked Kathleen
"Do you want to go to heaven Kathleen" .
Kathleen answered , YES Father I do Father .
Good lady said the Father stand over there with Sean .
He then asked Paddy ,
" Do you want to go to heaven Paddy .
Paddy said , NO father I dont....
Father Muldoon said I can't understand why you wouldn't want to go to Heaven when you die Paddy ????.
OH I do, when I die Father........ but I thought you were getting a group ready to go right now ......

MARCH 2020 MEETING Speaker The BEE Lady
At our last meeting in March 2020 before the big LOCKDOWN
we heard from the BEE lady herself Barbara Elkins .
Yes as she told us even her initials are BE .
She was a good speaker who told us a lot about the life of a BEE . She has ben an apiarist for several years now and is very knowledgeable about BEES .
Wow they really are SPECIAL they could teach us humans a lot about how to live . .
Hope you were there but if not there are a few photos of her .

GOOD CITIZENSHIP AWARDS NOVEMBER 2019
Our GOOD CITIZENSHIP AWARDS in November was a great morning , its always a very inspiring time and this year was no exception and here are some photos of the students, their presenters and teachers etc....
As usual there were six students chosen for to receive our awards .
Two from Glenvale Special School presented by John Edgington and John Starr.
Two from Point Clare Primary school presented by John Vaughan and Judi Edgington
Two students from Henry Kendall High presented by Carol Williams and Don Frohmuller .
It is always a very proud morning for the families to be present at. The students are chosen by their school as being
GOOD CITIZENS, nothing to do with academic abilities but GOOD CITIZENSHIP that we reward each year ... Hope you enjoy the photo's of the morning ....
